So my mother in law must have told me a million times wait till he hits 18 months and he will just start talking away that is the magic number. "Ok Mom", I would say just to humor her. But it's funny because it seems like my son's vocabulary went from ten words to all words. He will pretty much say just about anything you ask him to say now and every day it is getting clearer and clearer. Ok so I suppose I better clean my own mouth out with soap before he says something to his Nana that he is not suppose to.
We went for a family walk not long ago. A family walk includes , Mommy , Daddy Nicholas, Pepper and Tacoma our two huskies. Tacoma stopped to drop his business and my husband sarcastically said Awesome, right afterwards Nick said Awesome with the lisp like Daffy Duck. We cracked up.
Just last night as I sat him on the potty before his path he started to notice the two hemangiomas he has on either side of his tummy. I told them they are Strawberries and immediately he goes MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. I almost fell over I was laughing so hard.
Can't wait to find out what he will say tomorrow!
So the little guy has some boogers and is a little bit under the weather. Infact I am feeling a bit under the weather myself.. yet again.. but anyway so today he felt warm and I was trying to get his temperature. I don't think I have every successfully taken his temperature. I got out the ear thermometer and tried to take it with that as it only needs to be in place for about 3 seconds. I couldn't get the thing in deep enough without him freaking out. So I guess his ears are probably a bit sensitive with the cold. I got a reading of 95 degrees. Yeah thats not right!
So I got out the regular digital thermometer and put it under his arm. He wouldn't stay still long enough for this one as it feels like it takes 20 minutes to get a freaking reading. It was out of his arm before it beeped. So again not a successful take. Last attempt, I put the thermometer in his groin and held his legs up so it would be there nice and tight. I tried talking to him and kissing him alot and being silly so he wouldn't mind me holding his legs. You guessed it. I couldn't keep it the entire time and the back started arching and the legs went fling. No good reading here either!
I haven't tried the hiney. A friend of mine suggested trying when he is asleep. My son is 18 months old.
How do you guys get a good reading?
